To assemble, simply unfold the bottom tube quick release hinge (located near the center of the tricycle’s frame) back into operational position and close the latch.
Here you can see the bottom tube quick release hinge in the open position. To close, fold the hinge back into its operational closed position. To close the latch, rotate the quick release fastener into its slot. Then, fold the quick release lever into a tight, downward position as pictured.
Test whether you have done this properly by attempting to fold the trike. If the quick release lever is properly closed, you should not be able to move the mechanism without disengaging the lever. Do not ride the tricycle without the folding hinge securely and completely closed, an unsecured quick release can put the rider in danger and cause damage to the frame.
To fold the bike, pull up on the quick release lever and then over, away from the trike. The bolt is a vertically sprung release, so once the lever is out and over pull up again towards you and the frame should easily fold.
